Most AI image styles apply the same look to every video: Cinematic is always a film still, Whiteboard always marker on white. The AI Images style works the other way round. It reads your topic first, then decides the look, so the most mysterious places on Earth and the world in 2050, two of its own examples, each get a look that suits them rather than one house style.

ShortFast writes the script from a topic or keeps yours word for word, picks one of 40+ voices, writes one art direction for the video and draws every scene in it. Each image gets a camera move such as a zoom, pan or Ken Burns by default, and captions and music go on top, in 9:16 for Shorts, TikTok and Reels or 16:9 for YouTube. A minute of video costs about 37 credits, the same as an art style.

How it works

Making a generated-image video

  1. 01

Describe the topic or paste a script

Start from an idea such as "The most mysterious places on Earth", or paste a script you already wrote and ShortFast keeps your words.

  2. 02

One art direction, then every image

The AI writes one art direction for the video from its topic (medium, palette, light and mood), splits the script into scenes and draws every image in it.

  3. 03

    Voice, captions and pacing

Pick one of 40+ narration voices. Captions are burned in, every image gets a camera move, and the AI Images defaults (normal pace, background music and transitions) are already set. You can change any of them.

  4. 04

Download, post or run a series

Download the video, auto-post it to TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, or turn the theme into an automated series that makes a new episode on a schedule.

One look per video, picked for the topic

Before any image is drawn, the AI writes an art direction for the whole video from its content: the medium, the palette, the light and the mood. Every scene then follows it, which is why the images belong together even though no fixed style was chosen. The result is often photographic but not always, and a series made this way can change look from topic to topic.

That suits channels whose topics vary, such as facts, mysteries and lists, where one fixed look would fit some videos and fight others. If your series needs to look the same every day, pick a fixed style instead, such as Cinematic for film stills or Dark Mystery for fog and shadow.

Narrated images are not a slideshow, and why that matters

YouTube's monetization policies list 'Image slideshows, templated storylines, or scrolling text with minimal or no narrative, commentary, or educational value' among their examples of generic or repetitive content that isn't allowed to monetize (checked 24 October 2026). What separates a video built from images is the narration: a script with an idea, a reason to watch and something the viewer learns.

TikTok's Creator Rewards Program lists among content 'not considered original' 'Content that contains looping videos, single or multiple photos, or only text overlays' (checked 24 October 2026). ShortFast's image styles, AI Images included, add narration and a camera move, such as a zoom, pan or Ken Burns, to every image by default; documentary footage (about 24 credits a minute), the AI Video styles and Animate b-rolls, which turns each image into an AI video clip, are full-motion video. TikTok doesn't say exactly how it treats narrated videos built from images, so if Creator Rewards matters most to you, choose a full-motion option. Its requirements also ask for 'original and high-quality content that is filmed, designed, and produced entirely by yourself' and don't mention AI tools (checked 26 October 2026). Animate b-rolls isn't available in AI Images, which has no fixed look, so for motion pick AI Video Clips.

Mysteries, futures and labels

The style's examples, lost cities that might really exist and the world in 2050, are speculation, and the images make speculation look solid. Say in the narration what's known, what's a theory and what's imagined, and don't present a generated picture as a photo of a real place or event.

YouTube requires disclosure of AI content that 'seems realistic' and doesn't ask for 'non-realistic content that's made with AI'. TikTok requires a label on 'all AI-generated content that contains realistic images, audio, and video' and encourages one on content 'completely generated or significantly edited by AI' (both checked 24 October 2026). Because this style's look changes with the topic, decide per video: label any that look photographic. ShortFast sets no AI label when it posts.

Run it as an automated series

Give ShortFast one theme and it makes a new generated-image video on a schedule, every day, twice a day or a few times a week. Each episode covers a new topic on the theme, and the video is emailed to you or posted to your accounts. Themes that work well in this style:

  • A mysterious place on Earth every day
  • What the future looks like, one topic per video

FAQ

Common questions

What does "a look picked for your topic" mean?
The AI writes one art direction for each video from what it's about, covering the medium, palette, light and mood, and draws every scene to it. Fixed styles such as Cinematic or Watercolor use the same look for every video instead.
Do the images always look like photos?
Often, not always. The look follows the topic, so a video can come out looking like photographs, renders or illustration. If it looks real, label it on YouTube and TikTok.
Can the images be animated?
Each image gets a camera move by default. Animate b-rolls, which turns images into AI video clips, works only with fixed-look styles, so it isn't available here; for a clip in every scene, use AI Video Clips.
How much does an AI Images video cost?
About 37 credits a minute, the same as the art styles, so Starter's 2,000 monthly credits cover about 50 one-minute videos. AI video clips cost about 370 credits for 50 seconds.
