ShortFast vs ShortsBot

Both turn a topic into a series of faceless shorts and post them on autopilot. ShortsBot keeps it simple, one credit per video, TikTok and YouTube Shorts only; ShortFast adds Instagram Reels, licensed stock footage, 27 styles and an API.

Short version

ShortsBot is a small, focused auto-poster: enter a topic, it plans a themed series with scripts and storyboards, and it publishes each video to TikTok and YouTube Shorts on a schedule. One credit is one video, so the plan tells you exactly how many videos you get. ShortFast does the same core job with more range: 27 visual styles, Instagram Reels as well, and an API.

ShortsBot is the better pick if you only post to TikTok and YouTube Shorts and want a video count you never have to calculate, the cheapest yearly entry ($119.99 a year), free regenerations, three free videos without a card, or a 14-day money-back guarantee. ShortFast is the better pick if you need Instagram Reels, licensed stock footage or a fixed illustrated style, many videos a month on the entry plan, UGC-style videos, or an API and MCP server.

Counted videos or credits by type

ShortsBot keeps the math simple: one credit makes one video, regenerations are free, and unused credits do not roll over. Basic is $24.99 a month for 12 videos on one series and one account, Daily $49.99 for 30 videos across three, and Enterprise $79.99 for 60 across five. Billed yearly, Basic drops to $119.99 a year, which is the cheapest yearly entry among the auto-posters we have compared.

ShortFast sells credits whose cost depends on the video type. Starter is $19 a month for 1,000 credits; a typical stock-footage video uses about 12 and an AI art-style video about 25, so Starter covers roughly 80 or 40 of them, many more than 12. A fully animated video uses about 464 credits, so if every video must be animated the comparison tightens.

Platforms, styles and code

ShortsBot publishes directly to TikTok and YouTube Shorts and lists more platforms as coming soon; ShortFast also posts to Instagram Reels, with a timezone-aware schedule per automation. ShortsBot's site describes AI voiceover, subtitles and a variation engine for testing hooks, but not where its visuals come from. ShortFast's 27 styles range from licensed documentary footage to fixed illustrated looks, and it makes UGC-style videos with an AI presenter.

For developers, ShortFast exposes the whole pipeline through a REST API, signed webhooks and an MCP server on every plan. We found no API on ShortsBot.
