Pippit, "powered by CapCut", is a marketing agent for products and brands: product-link videos, AI avatars, images and scheduled posts. ShortFast is for faceless channels: it writes each short from a topic, renders it and posts it on a schedule.
Pippit is a marketing agent for products and brands; ShortFast is an AI video automation platform for faceless short-form channels. Keep Pippit if you sell products and want videos made from a product link, AI avatars that hold or wear what you sell, and a free plan to start; pick ShortFast if you want a faceless channel that keeps publishing, with a new scripted, voiced and captioned episode posted to TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts on the schedule you set.
Pippit's strengths are real. It turns a product listing into a marketing video, builds an avatar from your own photo with a custom voice, makes posters and product photos in the same place, and schedules posts to Facebook, Instagram and TikTok with analytics alongside. ShortFast starts from a topic instead: it writes the hook and script, builds every scene from stock footage, AI video or one of its fixed art styles, and its automations write the next episode for every posting slot.
Pippit's Starter lists at $15 a month for 1,575 Pippit credits, and there's a free plan. ShortFast's Starter is $19 a month, or $15 billed yearly, for 1,000 credits: about 80 stock-footage or 40 AI art-style videos at typical costs. The two companies' credits are different units, so compare what each plan makes for your work. You can also run both: Pippit for product ads, ShortFast for a faceless channel next to it.

Pippit figures are its list prices. On October 23 its pricing page showed them struck through next to lower discounted prices, which we leave out because offers change. Pippit credits and ShortFast credits are different units and don't convert. ShortFast video counts are typical, not limits: about 12 credits for a stock-footage video and 25 for an AI art-style video.

Pippit calls itself "The Simplest Creative Agent", "powered by CapCut", and its pages are built around marketing. You give its video agent a prompt, a product link, images, media or a document, pick a model such as Sora 2, Veo 3.1 or its own Lite and Agent modes, and it returns a marketing video you can refine in an editor with transitions, effects and captions. Paste a listing from Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop or eBay and it builds a product video from it; upload a reference video and it reuses that video's narrative structure for a new story.
The same account makes posters and product photos, translates videos into other languages, schedules posts to Facebook, Instagram and TikTok up to 30 days ahead, and reports follower growth, impressions and engagement. For a shop that needs fresh product content every week, that is a lot in one place, and the free plan lets you try it without a card.
Both tools make UGC-style videos with AI people, and Pippit's pages describe more controls for them. You can pick an avatar by age, gender, outfit or industry, choose a voice and language, build an avatar from your own photo with a custom voice, and show the avatar holding your product or wearing your outfit in a virtual try-on. If your videos are product reviews, try-ons or demos, that toolset is a good reason to stay with Pippit.
ShortFast's AI actors cover the simpler case: UGC-style videos in the same account as your faceless channel. Edit one scene's narration and only that scene re-renders, so you can fix a line without redoing the whole video.
ShortFast is built for accounts with no product to show: faceless channels about history, finance, psychology or scary stories. Give it a topic and it writes the hook and script, or paste your own. It builds every scene from licensed documentary stock footage, AI video or AI images in one of its fixed art styles, such as stick figures, cartoon explainer, comic book, anime, whiteboard or claymation, then adds a voiceover and word-by-word captions.
The bigger difference is the series. Pippit's vibe marketing agent plans a calendar and creates videos for it, aimed at brand and product marketing. A ShortFast automation runs a series: for every posting slot it writes the next episode with a new topic, script, title, description and footage, keeps the tone, format and length, and checks your recent titles. There's no approval step: each episode is posted to your connected TikTok, Instagram or YouTube accounts, or emailed to you if you prefer.
Two platform rules apply whichever tool you use. YouTube's monetisation policies say content should "not be mass-produced, generic, repetitive, or manipulative", and its spam policy covers "using automated tools or AI to churn out high volumes of similar content with minimal changes", so vary the topics and check the first videos of any automated series. TikTok says "you must label content that uses AI or includes significant edits to show realistic-looking people or scenes", which includes realistic AI avatars and actors in either tool.
Pippit's paid plans start at $15 a month list, its free plan gives free daily credits, and paid plans add watermark removal. Pippit says not every tool uses credits and points to the app for what each one costs. Credits that come with a subscription expire when it ends; credits bought separately last two years.
ShortFast has no free plan; every monthly plan starts with a 3-day trial for $1. Its credits go on videos at these typical costs: about 12 for a stock-footage video, 25 for an AI art-style video and 324 for an AI video. Yearly billing takes 20% off, and extra credits are $10 per 1,000. Since the two companies' credits measure different things, the fair test is to make the same kind of video in both and compare what it cost.
