Higgsfield is an AI video suite for striking clips and ads made with the newest models. ShortFast is a faceless pipeline that writes each short from a topic, renders it in one of 27 styles and posts it on a schedule.
Higgsfield is for making striking AI clips and ads with the newest models; ShortFast is for running a faceless short-video channel that writes, renders and posts itself. Pick Higgsfield if the look of each shot matters most and you want to pick the model, camera and effects yourself; pick ShortFast if you want a new faceless video published to TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts on a schedule without assembling it.
The two meet at Higgsfield's Content Factory, which promises “viral faceless short videos” as a “ready-to-post video series, one episode at a time”, made inside Claude with Higgsfield's MCP server; its Content Factory, MCP and pricing pages don't mention posting them to social accounts. ShortFast's automations write each next episode, with a new topic, script, title and footage in the same tone and format, then post it or email it to you.
On each company's main pricing page, paid plans start at $19 a month, but the credits buy different things: Higgsfield's are spent per generation, ShortFast's per finished video, and they don't convert. Higgsfield lists a Free plan for limited use. ShortFast has none, but every monthly plan starts with a 3-day trial for $1.

|---|---|---|
| Core job | Generate faceless short videos from a topic and publish them on a recurring schedule. | Generate images and videos with a choice of AI models, plus studios for cinematic shots, ads, avatars and effects. |

In UGC videos, only the scene you edit re-renders. | Cinema Studio sets camera, lighting and color palette per shot. Editing tools include inpaint, upscale and face swap. |
| What a credit buys | Part of a finished video. Typical: about 12 credits for stock footage, 25 for an AI art style, 324 for AI video. | Part of one generation, priced by model, length and resolution: about 7 credits per 5 seconds of Kling 3.0 at 720p, about 12 for Seedance 2.0 Fast. Subscription credits don't roll over. |
| Developer access | REST API, webhooks and an MCP server for Claude, Cursor and other agents, on the same credits as the app. A free API tier gives 50 credits every 30 days: 3 watermarked renders, download only. | A pay-per-generation API for 50+ models (no subscription), and an MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and Cursor. |
| Refunds | At ShortFast's discretion, per its terms; the $1 three-day trial lets you test first. | A refund can be requested within 7 days of the first purchase if no credits were used, less a service fee of up to 6% where the law allows. Renewals aren't refunded, per its terms. |

Higgsfield's video counts are its own estimates for one model; its prices exclude VAT, and its subscription credits don't roll over. On the same day, Higgsfield's API page showed a different plan grid, from $9 a month; this table uses its main pricing page.

Higgsfield is built around choice and control. One subscription reaches many video and image models, from Kling, Seedance, Veo and Sora 2 to Nano Banana and its own Soul models. Cinema Studio sets the camera, lighting and color palette of a shot, Genjutsu swaps the characters, locations and style of a reference video while keeping its motion, and some models render in 4K.
It is strong for marketing too: Ads Studio, Marketing Studio, and MCP skills for creator-style product reviews, for rebuilding a reference ad around your product, and Hook Multiplier, which gives one video several opening hooks to test. If you want a few standout shots or a polished ad, and you're happy to direct each one, Higgsfield is the better tool.
A faceless channel needs more than footage: a topic, a script with a hook, a voice, captions, a title and a post, every day. ShortFast does all of it from a topic, with captions in 60+ languages, and publishes to TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Its automations write each next episode in the same tone, format and length, check recent titles to avoid repeats, and follow a series brief of up to 500 characters.
Higgsfield's Content Factory starts from a trending reference style and your idea, and returns a ready-to-post series inside Claude; that page and its MCP and pricing pages don't mention connecting social accounts. ShortFast has no approval step: each automation posts the video or emails it to you.
Either way, automated channels live under the platforms' rules. YouTube's monetization policies say channels where content “feels interchangeable from video to video” can't monetize, and its spam policy covers “using automated tools or AI to churn out high volumes of similar content with minimal changes”. TikTok requires a label on realistic AI-generated content. Vary your topics and watch the first videos of every automated series.
On October 23, 2026, Higgsfield's pricing page listed Starter at $19 a month for 270 credits, the same price billed yearly, Plus at $59 ($47 billed yearly) for 1,200 and Ultra at $129 ($99) for 3,000, plus a Free plan for limited use. Its credits are spent per generation, for example about 7 per 5 seconds of Kling 3.0 at 720p, and subscription credits don't roll over. ShortFast's credits are spent per finished video, about 12 for stock footage and 25 for an AI art style, so its $19 Starter, $15 billed yearly, covers about 80 or 40 such videos at typical costs. Extra credits are $10 per 1,000.
The credits don't convert, so compare the output you need. For a daily faceless series that has to be written, voiced, captioned and posted, price one finished video on each. For a handful of cinematic clips from a specific model, Higgsfield's per-model rates are the number to check.
Both tools let an AI agent drive them. Higgsfield's MCP server (mcp.higgsfield.ai) has setup guides for ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and a CLI, and faceless skills such as a stickman explainer and editorial motion graphics; Content Factory's page offers to generate inside Claude through it. Its pricing page notes that plan unlimited models and free generations work only on higgsfield.ai, not over MCP or CLI.
ShortFast's MCP server gives Claude, Cursor and other agents the same tools as its REST API: generate a video from a brief, render it, publish it to connected accounts, and set up automations that post on a schedule, all on the same credits as the app. If your agent needs a striking clip, connect Higgsfield; if it needs to run a channel end to end, connect ShortFast.
